Converge FiberX free speed boost for 2022 announced
Converge ICT has announced a permanent speed boost for Converge FiberX Plans 1500 and 2500 for free starting November 11, 2022. The telco also revealed two new FiberX plans.
Converge FiberX Plan 1500 will receive twice the speeds of up to 200 megabits per second (Mbps) from 100 Mbps. The telco will also double the speed of FiberX Plan 2500 from 300 Mbps to 600 Mbps.
Besides the free speed upgrades for its residential base plan subscribers, Converge also unveiled its two new internet plans: FiberX Plan 2000 with up to 400 Mbps speeds and the FiberX Plan 7499 with up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) speeds, which is their fastest one yet.
Meanwhile, Converge FiberX Plan 3500 will still maintain its 800 Mbps speeds.
List of Converge FiberX Plans 2022
- Converge FiberX 1500 – up to 200 Mbps (from up to 100 Mbps)
- Converge FiberX 2000 (new) – up to 400 Mbps
- Converge FiberX 2500 – up to 600 Mbps (from up to 300 Mbps)
- Converge FiberX 3500 – up to 800 Mbps
- Converge FiberX 7499 (new) – up to 1Gbps
Boosting Speeds of Converge FiberX
This free speed upgrade announcement was made during Converge ICT's regulatory filing this Thursday. The telco reported double-digit gains in the third quarter of 2022.
According to Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc., they were able to offer significant free speed increases without any need for "incremental capital expenditures" as their fiber network has been designed with "significant built-in capacity."
The telco's net income increased by 11% to Php 2.157 billion from July to September compared to Php 1.946 billion during the same period last year. Their revenue grew from Php 7.050 billion to Php 8.427 billion.
