Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer w/ fastest 210W charging revealed

Along with Redmi Note 12 Series, Xiaomi has revealed the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, the top-end model, which features 210W HyperCharge, capable of charging to 100% in an unmatched, industry-leading speed in just 9 minutes.

Meanwhile, the 120W fast charging rate can fill the battery from 0 to 66 percent in only 5 minutes. This is Xiaomi's proprietary technology that utilizes a standard low voltage of 20V and splits it into three channels at 3.5W each.

Further, the charger is compact, thanks to GaN technology. It only measures 67.3 x 64.3 x 30mm.

Basically, this smartphone is based on the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, but the charging speed has been increased from 120W to 210W. The battery capacity decreased from 5,000mAh to 4,300mAh because Xiaomi had to build a battery to meet extremely stringent specifications.

Besides charging, the Explorer Edition and the Note 12 Pro Plus are pretty much similar. It retains a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 octa-core processor, a 120Hz OLED display, and a massive 200-megapixel primary camera.

In addition, it features stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, and an Android 12-based MIUI 13 interface.
