Vemuda Techno - Today, I have brought for you the review of a unique projector, which is the only projector being sold in India that has both an electronic keystone as well an electronic focus. The name of this projector is Alpha 2 and this is the premium flagship model of the Wzatco company.

So now, let's start this post, with the unboxing of this projector. This is the newly released Alpha 2 special edition FHD projector from the Wzatco company.

Now let us open this box and see what is inside. Inside the box, there is a well-made camouflage-designed quality backpack.

Inside the bag, in addition to the projector, there is a cleaning kit, with the help of which you can occasionally clean this projector.

Apart from this, there is a remote, a lens cover, an HDMI cable, a power cord, a user manual guide and a warranty card.

To comfortably hold this projector, there is a military green coloured strap on its upper surface, which not only grants portability to this projector but also imparts a unique look.

The projector is well-built and high-quality material has been used for constructing it. On the upper surface, there is a Black matt finish, whereas, on the front, the projector gets a military green matt finish. On the right side of the lens, there are dual camera sensors.

All physical buttons have been placed at the rear edge of the upper surface, whereas Wzatco branding is given on the front edge. The projector has adequate vents for heat dissipation.

Here, on this side, there is a removable dust filter, removing which, you can clean the dust. On the back, apart from the power port, there is a switch on/off button. Apart from this, there are 2 USB ports, 2 HDMI ports and a headphone jack.

Underneath the projector, apart from the details, there are screw threads to mount this projector from the ceiling. For desktop projection, there are curved rubber legs.

The remote is basic, however, you get all the major controls on it. The remote also has buttons for electronic focus and electronic keystone correction.

Now let's talk about the company-given specifications; According to the company, this projector comes with a contrast ratio of 6000:1 and a brightness of 840 ANSI or 9500 Lumens.

The company claims that this is the first projector in India that comes with automatic focus and automatic image correction features. It has a highly sensitive dual-camera setup, which improves upon the focusing accuracy to produce pictures with precision. This helps in producing sharp and clear images on it.

The projector comes with a 6-Axis gyroscope, which automatically adjusts the image on the screen so that you don't need to correct it manually.

According to the company, this projector comes with an upgraded IPS display and it has the BrightVis technology, which widens the colour gamut and enhances the contrast to produce realistic pictures.

The projector has VibraColor technology, which produces a billion colours and thus makes the colours vibrant. On this projector, you get 100% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut.

It comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, Android 9 and Bluetooth v5.0. The company claims that this is the brightest FHD projector in the affordable category.

According to it, this projector is 65% brighter than other 1080p projectors. The company says that this projector supports HDR10, which in association with its BrightVis technology grants an immersive viewing experience.

The projector has dual 5W Hi-Fi speakers and it supports Dolby audio, DTS Plus and AC 3 format. It has 1 GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage.

The projector comes fitted with the MediaTek 9255 64-bit quadcore processor and for graphics, it has an ARM Mali G31 MP2 processor. It supports wireless screen mirroring too.

So, these were the company-given specifications, now, let's talk about its real performance.

Today, also, I need to reiterate that all companies give exaggerated values of brightness and contrast, and, the same is true with this projector too.

Though this is not the brightest projector in the affordable category, it comes with sufficiently good brightness. None of the budget projectors has more than 4000 lumens brightness and this fact is applicable to even those projectors whose sellers claim more than 10000 lumens brightness. The brightness of this projector is around 3800 Lumens.

Coming to its performance; the main thing about it is that as soon as you install this projector, it automatically adjusts the focusing and keystone correction so that you don't need to delve into their individual settings and correct them manually.
Automatic focusing is effective up to 95%, so if you feel the need for more focusing you can manually adjust it. This is a pretty good projector on which you get a cinema-hall-like experience to a great extent.

The brightness of this projector is good and in addition to that the colours look natural and realistic. The pictures projected through this projector have deeper Blacks than many other projectors and the images exhibit good sharpness and clarity.

Though HDR gets displayed on the screen sometimes, it is pertinent to mention here, that none of the budget projectors come with true HDR support. Real HDR projectors are sold in lakhs.

If we talk about the motion blur on this TV, then normally, you don't get to see much blur on it, but, during the fast action scenes motion blur is unavoidable as all budget projectors come with only a 60 Hz refresh rate.

The audio of this projector is sufficient for a medium-sized room, however, for a cinema-hall-like rumbling and tumbling, you will need a home theatre with it.

For better audio, you can connect this projector to any good Dolby Digital soundbar. This projector supports Dolby audio. Good audio will enhance your viewing experience too.

This is an Android projector on which you get Android 9, however, you do not get official android in any of the projectors.

This is the reason why with the exception of YouTube, you do not get good resolution on any other application.

To churn out the best performance of your projector, you need to connect it to any good Android TV box or Amazon Fire TV stick. This way, you will get good picture quality on all the applications.

Though this projector supports 4K videos through USB, the audio, of some files, especially the WebM ones, went unsupported. You can even play the downloaded content through your hard drive.

Now coming to its gaming performance; when I connected the PS5 Playstation to this projector, these details got displayed on the screen.

The internal settings of PS5 show that this projector supports HDR and the HDCP version of the HDMI on this projector is 2.3.

Apart from this, the projector supports 4K @ 60 Hz through the PS5 PlayStation. Gaming is lag-free on this projector and if you are not a hardcore gamer, who needs VRR and a high refresh rate then you will enjoy gaming on it.

If you ask about the blur on the corners of the screen; I will say that you do not get to see any noticeable blur on the corners, while watching pictures, but, here you need to understand that none of the budget projectors is able to give a fully-focused picture, particularly on the four corners. Especially while displaying text, you get to see around 5% blur on any one or two corners.

These are the best settings of this projector, if you want, you can note them down. In the preset modes, the Movie Mode gives you the best visual experience.

This projector is capable of forming a screen of more than 300 inches, but, for the best picture quality, you need to limit the screen size to 200 inches. This way, you will get its best performance with good brightness and clear-sharp images.

As far as casting is concerned, this projector supports both Android and iOS devices. As of now, I am casting the content of my iPhone 13 and all are getting played smoothly.

If we talk about the noise of the fan, then it is not much, and when the audio is playing it gets faded behind it completely.

Apart from an Android TV box and Amazon fire TV stick, you can connect this projector to a set-top box, DVD player and PlayStations.

Through Bluetooth, you can wirelessly connect this projector to your headphones, soundbars, gaming controller, keyboard and mouse.

So in the end, I will just say that the fully automatic settings which you get on this projector are a rare find, which you don't get on any other budget projector being sold in India. A first-time user can also set this projector easily.

Apart from this attraction, you get a very good cinematic experience on it, which is why it gives the full value for the money invested in it.

This much only for today, meet you in my next post, till then, take care and stay safe.

You can compare it with Projector T4 FHD Projector or Borsso BS30 Pro FHD Projector
