The Role of the Nurses as a frontline worker

The most caring health worker staff in the hospitals are nurses, the duties of the nurses are shift-wise, some are hard in behavior, and some are so soft-natured. Most of the nurses are seen caring in hospitals. In some government hospitals, you will have noticed their rude behavior, because they have lots of pressure on them to look after many patients every day.   Information Technology Created its Importance

The frontline workers are exposed to hazard the risk of infection, masks, eye covers, face shields, and gloves, all those safety arms used to fight situations. They were actively involved inadequate assistance, nursing management, and supervision for the safety precautions. Proper counseling, risk, reports, and abuses, are to be followed up, and action to be taken.

The role of the nurses expanded in responding to a global pandemic, their role was prepared as the leading policy of decision of health system by the government agencies. After a doctor’s routine check-up nurses are basically responsible for the treatment to provide medicines, services, diagnostic tests, shifting, and recovery of the patients.

How did nurses fight coronavirus?

Working directly with the patients was difficult during coronavirus, they have to deal with the condition of the patients. The spread of infection could be limited, so they carry out a complete precaution kit, to prevent the infectious disease. The main symptoms of the patients were fever, cough, and shortness of breath, there was only the primary treatment was possible all over the world during the pandemic. The increasing cases and death rates were surprising, and the whole world was scared of the crisis.

The nurses had played an important role in managing supplies of medical equipment, along with the treatment of the patients at the primary stage during lockdowns. The equipment such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, face cover, goggles, and gowns, medical kits, these requirements was not easily available, many people died due to the unavailability of medical equipment and medicines. Managing all these was too difficult during a pandemic, but nurses took on these responsibilities.

Care of the patients during lockdown

During the lockdown, doctors were with patients for routine check-ups, but there were only nurses in the hospitals who took care of the patients, their duty was to provide medicines, injections, check oxygen, and ventilators from time to time, this was the riskiest, they were most attached with the patients, to check multi times, even risk of infection, maintain distance, how they would have worked, it was really appreciable job during the lockdown.   How we have learned a new way of living

There are lots of staff who have different work profiles but they all were responsible for the treatment of the patients. Every staff has a risk of infection from the patient. The doctor checks up properly and writes prescriptions, and advises, on the format of treatment, only nurses in the hospital have to provide their services to the patients till the end when the patient finally recovers well and gets discharged from the hospital. Nobody has noticed that the patients recover with the care of the nurses. They never mind the category of the patients whether they are poor or rich, treat all patients equally because they must serve the patients till they recover well.

Working behavior like a family member

During treatment did you ever notice why nurses talk to you like a family member. She wakes you up every morning, asks you to get fresh, reminds your breakfast time, checks your temperature, and blood pressure, to keep everything under control, provides medicine, and injections, and wishes you to get well soon. You get recharged, because all these conversations are heart-touching, and feel like missing a family member. That’s the reason, they are always called sisters in the hospitals, they are not called by their respective names.   Information Technology Created its Importance

It’s their duty to deal with every patient, their behavior is friendly as per the training of the nursing. But when you get well, recover get back to your routine work, and forget who has served you in your bad time as a family member when you were hospitalized. Yes, it means a lot, people should mind the services of our nurses as family members.

Sacrifice for the serving people

The sacrifice of the nurses is more than the other staff of the hospitals. Even a doctor sacrifices the responsibility of the treatment and reputation because all the patients believe in the doctors for the treatment, but timely providing medicine and services during the treatment process, a nurse's sacrifice is commendable.

They don’t feel any hesitation or inferiority complex during their sacrifice for the patients, they are always helpful to the patients during their treatment till discharge. Even if the patient died in the hospital, only nurses are found responsible in the mortuary to hand over the dead body to the concerned family members. During coronavirus their duty schedule was very hard sometimes they have not even visited their home for a fortnight or a month.

Their sacrifice for duty is commendable, as per the increasing numbers of cases, every day, they were the only frontline health worker who faced the situation, and handled it as per their maximum efforts. Doctors were equally responsible for facing the situation but most of the time only nurses were seen with the patients during the lockdown.

Conclusion

Patients in the hospitals always get hopeless. Patient basically believes in doctors for the treatment, but in hospitals, doctors' prescriptions are followed by the nurses who take care of them and provide medicines and other services, but they must be recognized for recovering faster. They give us strength that wakes us up and helps us to recover faster.

The role of the nurses responded globally during the lockdown, they were prepared as the leader of the decision of the health system. Nurses work like family members, therefore they are called sisters, they take care of us, provide medicine, and help us to recover faster. Every hospital staff helps patients but nurses provide their services to patients till the end when the patient finally recovers well and gets discharged.

After a routine check-up of doctors, nurses are basically responsible for the treatment and recovery of the patients. They have to provide medicines, services, diagnostic tests, and shifting as per the treatment process. They deal with every patient with friendly behavior, after recovering we get back to our routine work, and we forget the service of the nurses.

The job of the nurses must be considered respectfully. We must remember mother Teressa, how she had served the people of the nation, we have a lesson from her, how this nursing job is concerned and inspired the spirit of human service is paramount. The servitude of our nurses must be respected, and they must be given the best remuneration and position in society.
