Motorola Edge 40 Pro - Yes, It's Ready

Vemuda Techno - So hey Guys, now that Qualcomm has officially launched the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU, many companies, including Motorola, have already placed orders for this chip.

Since the release of the CPU, more information regarding the impending Motorola Edge 40 Pro has started to appear online.

For your knowledge, the upcoming Edge 40 Pro with the model number was just last week found on the TDRA certification website. Recently, the Moto Edge 40 Pro was discovered on the FCC certification page.

The forthcoming Moto Edge 40 Pro's battery and charging specifications are revealed in the FCC certification listing.

According to the entry in the certification database, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro's battery will have the model number PF46. It will be capable of 125W fast charging. Both wireless charging and reverse wireless charging appear to support by the smartphone.

Additionally, this list confirms the name edge 40 pro, which will be known on the international market but will launch in china as Moto X40, much like the previous model. 

Talking about previous phones Last year’s Moto X30 was the first smartphone to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.

There are speculations that the Moto X40 will be the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered smartphone. This means that the Moto Edge 40 Pro will also be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

For you information The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 comes with a fully integrated Snapdragon X70 5G modem. It supports mmWave 5G and sub-6GHz 5G networks.

The maximum supported downlink speeds are 10Gbps, while the maximum uplink speeds can reach up to 3.5Gbps. And also it will be 35% more powerful and power efficient than 8+ Gen 1 which is very good news.

Chen Jin, General Manager, Lenovo Mobiles has already confirmed that the Moto X40 will use LPDDR5X RAM. Apart from it, the Moto Edge 40 Pro is said to feature a triple-rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor.

The device might offer a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. We got our first glimpse at the phone, and it appears that the device will have a four-sided curved OLED display. It is said to have a refresh rate of 165Hz.

Looking at all of the certifications the device has received, it appears like Motorola is getting ready to launch the smartphone very soon, but the exact date is still unknown.
