China's top-selling Huawei Mate 50 Pro coming to PH on Nov 18
Huawei Philippines has announced that it is set to release its new smartphone from its Mate Series, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, on November 18, 2022.
According to Huawei, this is in line with the tenth anniversary of the launch of its first Mate smartphones. It added that the Mate Series has been its "crown jewel in its pursuit of groundbreaking innovations for smartphone technology."
The mobile brand also noted that the new Huawei Mate 50 Pro would "enable users to seamlessly navigate their day with the use of innovative technology solutions that allow them to be more efficient and creative."
'China's hottest sale'
Reservations for the new Huawei Mate 50 Pro in China have topped 2.45 million units, demonstrating its popularity. During the initial sale in September, it sold out in just 10 seconds. This phenomenon was accompanied by lengthy client queues in front of Huawei company stores.
Design innovation
True to its design language of classic symmetry, the Huawei Mate 50 Pro is said to feature a beautiful step-patterned embossing design for the very first time, showing a new form of ordered beauty that is meticulously constructed down to the smallest detail. This magnificent, time-honored French embossing technique is combined with independent cameras to lessen the bulging effect of the lenses. Refined procedures streamline the camera module, freeing space and creating a new type of layered beauty.
Huawei's commitment to innovative imaging technology
Huawei remains committed to developing the photography experience for the next generation. Other high-end models that facilitated this adoption generated smartphone chassis designs that are large and heavy, ruining the elegance of the rear design.
Mate versions feature simplified camera modules that reduce weight without sacrificing image quality. Huawei camera researchers reportedly drew inspiration from the adjustable aperture design of SLR (single-lens reflex) cameras to create an improved optical design for smartphones.
The Huawei Mate 50 Pro is rumored to be the first smartphone to contain a primary camera with a 10-size adjustable aperture lens, which represents a significant advancement in smartphone optical design and results in an improved mobile imaging optical system.
In Auto Mode, the smartphone supposedly uses artificial intelligence to analyze the elements and light levels in a scene and automatically adjusts the light intake to achieve a balance in image quality. In low-light conditions or at night, the large aperture increases the quantity of light that enters the camera, so illuminating the entire image. When photographing a group during the day, a small aperture guarantees that each person and their profile are sharp. In high-zoom situations, a wide aperture might be employed to improve image quality.
In Professional Mode, advanced photographers can manually adjust the aperture between ten different sizes in order to set the depth of field and bokeh. There are rumors that the aperture size can be previewed in real-time, hence facilitating user expression.
Empowering the Filipino user experience
Huawei underlines its dedication to enhancing the user experience by developing a powerful and luxurious smartphone that helps Filipinos to be more efficient, productive, and inventive.
The new Huawei Mate 50 Pro is also said to contain special glass to combat the usual after-sales maintenance issues associated with damaged or cracked screens. Apparently, Huawei engineers drew inspiration from the endurance of reinforced concrete structures and adapted it to mobile phone usage scenarios. They decided to add hard crystals to the glass in order to strengthen its support system and increase its resistance to falling.
It is believed to consist of 10 quadrillion nanocrystals, considerably enhancing the glass's endurance. In conjunction with multiple processing techniques, this glass boosts the phone's drop protection by a factor of ten.
Additionally, innovative battery and storage features are rumored to be included. This new model offers streamlined interactions and robust performance.
