Bates Motel

 Bates Motel is a prequel to the A&E horror drama series Bates Motel, which follows Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) and her son Norman (Freddie Highmore) as they struggle to cope with Norma's deteriorating mental state. The series is set in the summer of 1962 and explores how Norman deals with his mother's manifest schizophrenia.

The show was co-created by Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, who were inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho, which was released three years prior to Bates Motel's premiere date. The series has received critical acclaim since its premiere and has been nominated for several awards including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2014.

Bates Motel is a television show that has been running since the late '80s. The show revolves around the Bates family, who are all involved in a motel on a remote island.

The main character is Norman Bates, played by Anthony Perkins. He is your typical rich boy who's having a hard time fitting in with society. He has a deep love for his mother Norma and wants nothing more than to be like her.

When you first meet Norman he's a young kid who loves playing outside with his friends and going on adventures with them. However, as he gets older he becomes very withdrawn and spends most of his time alone in his room writing poetry or watching movies.

He also has an unhealthy obsession with his mother's death and will do anything to avoid facing it head-on. He believes that if he can't save her from dying then at least he'll be able to save her soul from going down into hell.
