10 Google Applications that are must have in your device
What is Google Applications
We’ve talked about these Google applications before, but if you’re still skeptical of them, consider this, They are free, they are always up-to-date and they have tons of incredible features that you can use to be more productive and get more things done each day.
And when you add all those good things together, it makes sense to install them on your laptop, tablet, or phone and start using them as soon as possible! Here are the top 10 Google applications that are must haves for your laptop (in no particular order).
1) Google Chrome
This is by far one of my favorite apps. It keeps your browser and bookmarks all in one place while making your web surfing experience a heck of a lot faster.
This app also allows you to sync with multiple computers and access files offline.
2) Gmail
Gmail is one of those applications that has been around since most of us can remember. While there are some great alternatives out there, including Apple’s Mail app and Microsoft’s Outlook, Gmail remains our favorite.
If you’re on an Apple device and considering leaving your native mail program for a new solution, don’t! Gmail offers an incredibly easy interface no matter which device you access it from and is still as fast as ever.
3) Docs
When you need to collaborate on a document, there’s no better tool than Google Docs. Just share your documents with whomever you need to, invite comments and make changes in real-time.
The tool also automatically saves every edit as well, which is nice when someone accidentally deletes half of your work. And for those who prefer something more formal, there’s an offline version available as well.
4) Calendar
Whether you need to schedule meetings or parties, keep track of your kids’ ball games or remember to pay a friend back for lunch, Google Calendar is one of the most essential tools available to you.
It’s completely free and syncs with everything from your laptop to your iPhone. This fantastic little app lets you set reminders and send invitations, so everyone knows what’s going on at all times.
And if you need a cute little desk calendar but don’t want to shell out the cash?
5) Google drive
It is safe online storage where you can save all your files from your hard drive. If you are using Google drive then it will never lose data due to a virus attack.
It works as a backup of your system so if anything wrong happens with your device, you can get back all information on any other device by logging into your Gmail account.
You have to install Google Drive application in your laptop and follow some steps to use it. It is available for both mobile phones and laptops.
6) Maps
Whether you’re driving, walking, or searching for nearby restaurants, Maps are a must-have.
This app enables you to find directions (as well as get updated traffic reports) via car or public transportation in over 300 countries and territories. And, it’s preloaded on all Android devices.
If you use your laptop to get around town, download Maps so you can access it offline (or when Internet service is unavailable).
7) Music
If you don’t already have a computer that plays music, it’s time to buy one. The second you begin working on your own business, you want to be listening to inspiring music that takes your mind off your work and keeps it in a good place.
Whether you love hard rock or prefer some light pop, set up an upbeat playlist with at least five or six songs on your computer (or phone) and hit play when you’re ready to get started.
8) Earth
Google Earth is a software that helps you view satellite imagery, maps, and geographic information in 3D.
It’s a must-have on your laptop if you ever get lost or have trouble finding locations in unfamiliar cities.
You can also zoom in to street level using satellite data or fly directly over an area of interest.
9) Hangouts
Hangouts is a free video chat service that allows you to connect and chat with up to ten people at once.
A great alternative to Skype and other similar products, Hangouts lets you share photos and documents as well as instantly connect with friends from Gmail, Docs, YouTube or even your address book.
Because it’s a native app, Hangouts doesn’t have any file size limits and doesn’t require you to download third-party software to start using it.
10) Voice Search
Instead of downloading a separate application like Shazam, try simply saying OK, Google followed by your query.
Sure, it might not be as effective as an app dedicated to voice search (yet), but it’s convenient and surprisingly accurate.
In our tests, we had no problem identifying popular songs with very few false positives.
