How to Hide the Taskbar in Windows 11 Automatic.

Windows 11 introduced a new taskbar with a centrally located start button, one of the most noticeable improvements. Although this was a significant step forward in upgrading the user interface, there were also some negatives to consider.

It was the Taskbar's first time ever being locked to the bottom of the screen, and it took away precious screen real estate while preventing users from moving the Taskbar to any other side.

If this is a problem for you, your best bet is to use the registry editor to flip the Taskbar so that it's not visible while you aren't using it. Step-by-step instruction: We'll focus on the second way because we've already covered the first in an earlier guide.

  • Go to Start and click on the small cogwheel located below the power menu in the lower right corner.
  • Go to Personalization and then Taskbar in the settings. You can also access the taskbar customisation settings by right-clicking on the Taskbar and selecting Task Bar Settings.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and select Taskbar behaviours from the drop-down box.
  • Toggle the "Automatically conceal the Taskbar" switch under Taskbar behaviours and turn it on.

Using the Taskbar Hider will allow you to recapture the screen real estate that was previously taken up by a bulkier Taskbar.
