The Right Intervals Between Meals

We all eat food and we might have a right type of food, right nutrition, right calorie intake but the timings and the intervals between two food are so important that we usually miss that out. So lets understand today what is the right timing and the interval between two meals.

We must eat something every 4 hours as the vegetarian food gets digested in 4 hours. It stays 2 hours in stomach and then next 2 hours in small intestine. So we should always eat a next meal when the stomach is empty. These are the right ways of eating but the timings should be understood.

As we are householders and we have so many responsibilities, sometimes we may not find time to eat food exactly after 4 hours or sometimes food may not be ready. So better put something in your stomach because your stomach gets empty after 2 hours, put something in your stomach and something means only fresh fruits.

Rather we would strongly recommend that person must take fruits in between so that your stomach is not totally empty. Otherwise gases would be formed, acidic tendency would come in migraine and headache would come in so avoid all such problems. 

There is a naturopathy concept about how our organs have optimal high functionality at specific timings and disbalancing. This is the root cause of all our problems. This organ cycle says at 6 am your large intestine is highly active, hence clearing bowels is easily carried at this time.

At 8 am stomach is active so naturally person must take breakfast by 8 am. At 12 noon the heart is active, so a good circulation, easy circulation is there, so person must eat around that time and that is lunch. At 2 pm, small intestine is active at this time, there is an absorption of food, so person feels little low in energy so person can have a small nap at that time.

Similarly snack and dinner should be consumed at 4 pm and 7 pm, this is because bladder and kidney are active at this time and they store nutrients. Melatonin, a sleep inducing hormone gets active at night and so the cycle is balanced. 

Intuitive eating should be a part of our lifestyle and listen to the body help us follow this regime naturally. Listening to the body is vital, body knows the balance, but the mind interferes, mind pokes its head and that's where the problem starts. 

Well so understand, eating right is a important as eating at the right interval. Eating at the right time in a right manner with a very happy and cheerful state of mind, afterall mind supersedes body. If mind is disturbed whatever you do body is going to get effected. 

So when we sit to eat food definitely see what you are eating, how you are eating, see how much you are eating, but definitely see when you are eating at what time you are eating. If your food is too much delayed you are eating at night, your body is not ready for anything. 

Body will just store that food. It would be a burden to your body once in a while anything is fine, but don't make a habit of eating late at night, better you don't eat. Remaining empty is healthy but not eating at wrong time. So avoid all these things and take care of yourself and be healthy.
