Inside the box, you get a pre-filled warranty card, then there is a white box, inside which, there is a power cord, a remote, an AV cable, 1 HDMI cable, and these two Red and Blue 3D glasses. The lens of the projector comes with this plastic cover.
Now coming to its build and design: This Black matte finished projector comes in a very compact form factor. The built quality of the projector is good and it is attractive and stylish in looks.
On the upper surface, all physical buttons come embedded within this disc, which can be operated with a light touch.
On the side of this disc is a linear indicator light, which enhances the looks of this projector, and here, near the edge, is the placement of the power button.
Underneath the projector, there are screw threads for the ceiling mount, and, on the sides lie the ports. The power port is on the rear.
On the front side, there is a manual focus wheel. The placement of the ventilation grilles is also on the sides. Overall, in looks, this projector is elegant
The remote that comes with this projector is a standard one, which has buttons for major functions.
On the connectivity front, this projector has 1 USB port, 2 HDMI ports, an AV port, a headphone jack, and a TF card slot.
Now let's talk about the company-claimed specifications.
The Tonzo company claims 7500 lumens brightness for this projector. It comes with 4D keystone correction and the projector is based on LED+LCD technology. The life of its LED is 50000 hours.
This projector comes with Android 9.0 and a Hisi V35 QuadCore processor. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. This Moviebox 13 projector comes with dual-band Wi-Fi and Miracast feature. It also comes with Bluetooth connectivity. These were the company-given specifications.
Now let's talk about the actual performance of this projector.
This small portable projector that comes in a compact design is a full-fledged home cinema projector. This projector series is meant for movie lovers who want a cinema hall-like experience within the confines of their homes.
It comes with 4D keystone correction along with a manual focus. With the help of both these features, you can make a perfectly rectangular screen.
As far as the real brightness of this projector is concerned, it is not 7500 lumens, but certainly, this projector falls in the category of bright projectors.
As I have already told you in my previous videos that none of the projectors comes with a brightness of more than 4000 lumens, the brightness of this projector is also under this value.
However, its brightness is pretty good, which is apt even for watching the dark scenes of Netflix and Hotstar comfortably.
The contrast ratio of this projector is good enough, even if you project it on a white screen its performance looks great.
I am projecting it from a 12 to 13 feet distance on a 130-inch screen and you can see its picture quality.
If you want, you can even project this projector on a light-coloured wall and enjoy movies in good quality.
The colour reproduction of this projector is pretty good, you get to see natural colours that also have accuracy in them. This projector grants you a cinematic experience.
Nowadays, when the trend of going to a cinema hall for watching movies is gradually declining, the rage for watching movies on the OTT platform at home along with family is increasing.
This movie box grants you a cinema-hall-like huge-screen experience, within the very confines of your home.
If there is space in your house you can even project a 250-inch screen with this projector and enjoy movies on a giant screen.
Regarding blur on the corners, you might get to see 5-10% blur on any corner, but this blur is almost negligible while watching pictures.
A 5% to 10% blur in budget projectors is a normal thing, which you will notice in almost all projectors. The noise level of this projector is negligible, which is hardly audible when the audio gets played.
Now let me show you its performance in an illuminated room: When you switch on the lights, then too, its performance is decent, which can be watched comfortably.
As far as the audio of this projector is concerned, it is sufficient for even a mid-sized room. The dialogues are nicely audible, and, there is clarity in its audio.
However, for a cinema-hall-like audio experience, you need to connect this projector through its 3.5 mm audio port to any home theatre.
This is an Android-based projector that comes with Android 9.0, but as I have said umpteen times, none of the projectors come with an official Android, even if it belongs to a higher brand.
This is the reason why Android projectors play all applications, except YouTube, in 480p. A 480p resolution works well for phones, but on a very big giant screen, this low resolution makes the picture quality look worse.
This is the reason why an Android TV box or Fire TV stick is necessary with a projector. This projector supports 4K resolution on YouTube through an Android TV box.
Apart from this, it plays 4k HDR videos smoothly through the USB port. As far as screen mirroring is concerned, I did observe a little lag while casting videos through it.
You can connect this projector to your Playstation and enjoy gaming on it. Gaming is smooth on this projector, I did not observe any lag or stuttering.
You will surely enjoy cricket and football matches on this projector as the fun of watching games on a big screen is altogether a different experience as if you were watching the matches LIVE in a stadium.
Bluetooth is there on this projector you can connect your headphones and Bluetooth speakers wirelessly with it. You can connect this projector to a set-top box and enjoy channels through it.
HD and SD, both channels, look good on this projector. But you need to remember that you cannot use a projector continuously like a TV.
To extend the durability of your projector, you need to keep it cool. Along with proper ventilation of the projector, you need to use it only for 3 to 4 hours in a stretch, and then, restart it only when it gets completely cooled.
Though it is a 3D projector, the experience through Red and Blue glasses is not very good, this is the reason why I am not laying emphasis on this feature.
I would conclude by saying that this is a good projector that gives you a cinema-hall-like feel. You can thoroughly enjoy movies on it. Being a lightweight projector, it can be easily carried wherever you want.
And, as its brightness is pretty good, it can be used in a partially illuminated room for education purposes or presentations.
As far as after-sale services are concerned, the company has assured me of good aftersales services, but you also need to keep a few points in mind. You need to protect the projector from dust and overheating.
Remember, a warranty is for the manufacturing defect or for the failure of any part during the warranty period.
If the projector goes out of order because of your negligence, the company might deny services.
So friends, this much only for today, meet you in my next post, till then, take care and stay safe.
