Well, let us discuss this today in Samsung S23 Ultra 5G Release Date & Price and Design Update.
1. Samsung S23 Ultra Design
The Galaxy S22 Ultra and its successor, the S23 Ultra, share a lot of design cues. Rumor has it that the S23 Ultra is only a hair longer and broader than the S22 Ultra and maybe even a little heavier.
Still, these differences are on the tenths of a millimeter and a few grams, respectively, so you probably won't even feel them. Users who prefer not to touch or write on curved displays may appreciate the possibility of a flatter display and sides.
The S23 Ultra's distinctive rear camera configuration has also been preserved. It has the same design cues, front-facing camera setup, and button placement as the other.
The S Pen slot has returned to its traditional location on the phone's bottom edge, next to the USB Type-C port. In any case, the main camera is now undergoing major revisions. The primary camera has been enhanced to 200 megapixels from 108 megapixels.
Still available is the 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as the 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom and the 10-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The new model's dimensions are 163.4 x 78.1 x 8.8 mm, making it both larger and thinner than its predecessor. Including all its parts, this phone weighs 223 grams. There were rumors that the phone's metal body would be covered with glass on both the front and back.
Many believe the 6.8-inch screen on the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be brighter, have a faster refresh rate of 120Hz, and have improved HDR capabilities.
There will be at least four options available to us in terms of color. Color options for the S23 series will reportedly include beige, black, green, and pale pink. It will also have other specs some of which are present on the S22 line up so stay tuned for more info on those.
So, how come we are so confident in the layout?
Well, we've seen the case file that leaker Ice Universe posted on Twitter. According to his tweet, “S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra protective cases have been introduced".
Samsung has yet to say which cases will work with the S23 Ultra. It was also determined from the available examples that the S22 design is indistinguishable from the S23 design.
Inspecting the lenses more closely may lessen the height of the frame surrounding the lenses.
The leaks seem to be imitation versions of Samsung Galaxy S22 cases. There is no Samsung branding or other identifying characteristic to confirm the legitimacy, even though they seem pretty identical at first glance.
2. Battery
The Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that can be quickly charged at 45W using the device's new USB Type C connector.
Concerning power consumption, the Samsung Galaxy S23 lineup is said to have a new "light" performance option.
Per Ice Universe’s tweet, ‘the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will get a "Light (Low Power) mode," which can moderately reduce performance while greatly reducing power consumption without affecting refresh rates’.
Some rumors say switching to this mode may slow down the CPU, reducing power consumption and keeping the device cooler, hence extending the battery's lifespan.
This raises expectations that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a longer lifespan than its predecessor, the S22.
3. Specs
The primary camera of the S23 is capable of 200 megapixels. Still, like the s23 Ultra, the s22 Ultra will have a number of upgraded sensors.
We have established that they have no intentions to upgrade their other cameras. Thus the 40MP front-facing camera, 12MP ultrawide lens, and 10MP telephoto sensors will all continue to operate in the same manner.
High dynamic range (HDR), stereo recording, Bixby voice assistant, LED flash, auto-HDR, panoramic mode, Dual Pixel phase detection autofocus, optical picture stabilization, gyro-electronic image stabilization, and high dynamic range (HDR) are all on the list of features. There is a fingerprint scanner hidden behind the screen for further safety.
4. Sensors
Sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, proximity sensors, magnetometers, altimeters, and ultrasonic receivers are all a part of this category.
If you wish to use your Samsung mobile device like a desktop, you may use either Samsung DeX or Samsung Wireless DeX. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 4G VoLTE, USB On-The-Go, Near Field Communication (NFC), and GPS with GLONASS are all supported by the smartphone.
Like the S22 Ultra, this phone has a non-removable Li-Po battery with a 5000 mAh capacity, 50W fast charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Additionally, the S23 Ultra's improved efficiency should come from its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
5. Price
It is anticipated that the beginning price of the Galaxy S23 Ultra will remain unchanged from its predecessor at $1199.99 unless Samsung concludes that the redesigned design and a 200MP camera sensor deserve higher S23 pricing.
We are strongly hoping that the initial price of the Galaxy S23 will be $799, the Galaxy S23+ will have a price tag of $999, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be priced at $1199.
Overall, it appears that the year of the Galaxy S23 series has been one of Polishing instead of substantial breakthroughs, with the Galaxy S23 Ultra perhaps receiving a little more Polishing than its counterparts.
Nonetheless, we can't wait to see how the 200MP performs and how it stacks up against other leading models.
That's all today, with that said, see you next time.
