Top 10 Google Applications For Android
The following list includes the most popular Google applications for Android in 2022. Keep in mind that not all applications may be available on all devices.
Also, new and updated applications are released regularly, so this list could change at any time. Regardless, these are the top 10 applications available at the time of writing.
1) Gboard
Gboard is one of Google’s latest applications that allows you to search and send messages in a whole new way. By sliding your finger across any key, Gboard replaces it with a button for an emoji or search.
The keyboard gives you access to a myriad of useful applications like YouTube, Maps, Photos, and more.
While other keyboards have plenty of options for adding more functionality to your device, Gboard makes it easier than ever to do so in just one tap.
2) Google Assistant
The future applications of google assistant are going to be limitless. It will eventually become our go-to tool for both work and play.
Imagine if your android could go through your daily routine with you, just like a real personal assistant, managing all your tasks and appointments.
Imagine having a conversation with it every morning to help wake you up and get you going for that day’s activities.
3) Google translate
The app lets you translate text from one language to another. You can also point your camera at a sign, product, or menu in a foreign language to instantly translate it for you.
As of October 2016, more than 500 million people use Google Translate each month.
Despite its popularity, machine translation is far from perfect Google says accuracy ranges between 85 and 95 percent but with millions of people relying on it every day, there’s clearly still demand services like these.
4) YouTube
As of 2018, YouTube is still one of my favorite go-to apps. I use it to keep tabs on trending videos, to learn new skills (DIY stuff), and to take a break from social media.
This app has been around for years (2005) but is somehow still relevant in today’s world.
5) Google Duo
The duo works very similarly to FaceTime and makes one-to-one calls seamless on any device. Calls use WiFi or cellular data instead of your minutes, so you don’t have to worry about running out of minutes.
It’s available for both iOS and Android users in most countries. You can also send text messages with Duo! The app is completely free, but there are a few optional paid upgrades available for power users.
6) Google Chrome
The most popular web browser on mobile devices, Chrome has more than 1 billion active users worldwide.
If you want to know where mobile is going, keep an eye on Chrome, because it will shape how people surf online in a post-desktop world. (Chrome is so important to Google that they released it as an app).
7) Gmail
It’s pretty likely that a lot of people still associate Gmail with email; it’s also a good bet that many people even those who live, breathe, and dream tech hasn’t realized yet that Gmail is actually one of Google’s most powerful apps.
It doesn’t just serve as an excellent mail client, but can also pull in emails from your other accounts.
8) Google Maps
I won’t even try to imagine what maps will look like in 2022, but I bet they’ll be a lot more visually appealing than whatever we use today.
And even if our maps don’t improve, I bet there will be some new competitor by then that makes mapping better and more social, too.
9) Calendar
The first thing to know about the calendar is that it will replace your current Calendar app.
That’s because it contains three different apps:
- Schedule
- Daily tasks
- Reminders
Which syncs with your Gmail account. It’s these integrations that make Calendar useful. if you use an alternative email provider or a note-taking app like Evernote, you won’t have much use for Calendar.
10) Clock
This will give you notifications at different intervals throughout your day. The most famous use of Clock is as a bedside alarm clock to make sure you get up on time in the morning.
But, it has so many other functions (sleep and travel modes, reminders, sunset times) that you may want to download it even if your old-fashioned wind-up alarm isn’t cutting it anymore.
