Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Review
Vemuda Techno - So Samsung has traditionally made the “best” smartwatches for Android phones. The Galaxy Watch 4 is the current best Android smartwatch money can buy right now.
Of course, Samsung is preparing itself to launch the successor of this watch, the Galaxy Watch 5 bro, but for now, it's the best thing we have right now. And I've been using the watch ever since they launched it last year and for the most part, I like it a lot.

But there are two complaints I have with the watch and both of them are related to the battery. The first is the battery life. I get around 40 hours of battery life with it which is actually less than Tizen-powered Samsung smartwatches such as the Galaxy Watch 3.
Thankfully Samsung is addressing this issue with the Watch 5 Pro where according to Ice Universe it can easily last at least 3 days thanks to a bigger battery. So the battery life will no longer be an issue with wearOS-powered Galaxy Watches.
But what about the charging speed, though? Because that's the second big complaint I have with the Watch 4. It takes around a couple of hours to fully charge, which is a really long time in today's world.
Samsung officially says that it takes 110 minutes to fully charge the watch 4. You see, if the charging speed was faster, the less-than-ideal battery life of the watch 4 wouldn't be an issue. That takes me to the charging speed of the Watch 5.
Samsung is finally upgrading the charging speeds on their smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro will now have a 10W of fast charging support which will have effectively doubled its charging speed compared to the watch 4.
Not only that, but Samsung will also be shifting to USB C standard from USB A on the watch 4. Now, you might be wondering how fast this 10W charger is going to be.
While we don't have a direct comparison with the watch 4 but the marketing materials mention that the smartwatch will charge to 45% in 30 minutes. The watch 4 takes 110 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 as per Samsung.
So this is a significant improvement but you need to keep in mind that charging is not a linear process. Things will be quite a bit slower once you pass the 50% charge.
So even though it would hint at a full charge in just over an hour, we'll have to wait for the actual watch to really find out. We also have the Canadian prices for these smartwatches. $349 CAD for the 40mm Watch 5 and $389 CAD for the 44mm size.
The Watch 5 Pro, meanwhile, starts at $559 CAD. He also converted the prices into US dollars but a direct currency conversion doesn't make much sense because of various factors involved like taxes.
We also have the US price of the Galaxy Buds 2 pro thanks to 9to5Google and it's $230 which is $30 more than its predecessor. Samsung will reveal these watches, and buds along with the foldables on the 10th of August at the Unpacked event.
I'll see you tomorrow....peace out. Thanks for reading atau Vemuda Techno.
