Samsung S23 Ultra, Be Careful Apple!

Vemuda Techno - So Samsung is right at the top when it comes to the smartphone camera. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is arguably the best camera phone of 2022 providing an overall great experience doesn't matter if you're taking photos from the main camera or the zoom camera.

And now it looks like the Galaxy S23 Ultra will take that to even greater heights as we have some amazing news today regarding its camera, its low light capability, video recording, and much more.

First off, you see you might have heard this multiple times from different YouTubers that the iPhones have the best video recording capability and I kind of agree with that!

I said kind of because, with my usage of the S22 Ultra and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, I find them on par with each other.

In some cases, the videos from the 14 Pro Max look good and in other cases, the S22 Ultra takes better videos.

But if we consider the overall performance, I would say the 14 Pro Max wins by a split decision.

But that won't be the case with the Galaxy S23 Ultra as Ice Universe mentions that Samsung has greatly improved night videography as well as night photography with the S23 Ultra.

He even goes on to say that it's the biggest year-over-year improvement we're getting to a Samsung flagship phone in 5 years which says a lot.

Now, a feature that takes the videography of the iPhone 14 Pro Max to new heights is called Action mode.

Action mode is integrated into the iPhone’s camera app itself, with the sole purpose of stabilizing videos that have heavy movements.

The Action mode essentially enables you to record videos that resemble the output of a Go Pro. Now, Apple isn't the first one to this technology on a phone.

Samsung did a similar super steady mode with their own phones a couple of years ago. And both the action mode and super steady mode give almost the same level of stabilization except there's a big key difference.

The resolution

Apple's action mode lets you record videos at 2.8K resolution while Samsung's steady mode only allows 1080p despite Samsung being two years ahead to this technology.

But it looks like that will finally change with the Galaxy S23 Ultra as this tipster who has a decent track record mentions that Samsung will offer Ultra stabilization with the S23 Ultra basically referring to the super steady mode which is about time.

Now, another aspect where the S23 Ultra will bring improvements is the cinematic mode. Even though the S22 Ultra offers cinematic mode, it's not at the same level as the 14 Pro Max.

So rest assured we will see a massive improvement to the cinematic mode or the portrait video I must say.

And finally, we have some good information about the main sensor of the S23 Ultra. Ice Universe says that the 200MP main camera of the S23 Ultra is so powerful.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra will launch with OneUI 5 with Android 13 and Samsung is already rolling out the final software.
