Air traffic controllers monitor the movement of the plane and direct the pilot from the ground.

While it might sound simple, air traffic controllers must be alert at all times and need to alert pilots when a problem arises.

These healthcare professionals collect blood samples from patients for tests, transfusions or donations.

While the role may be straight-forward, the pressure of collecting samples, sending them for analysis and dealing with difficult clients makes it a stressful one.

Being responsible for arranging someone’s big day or an important event is a highly stressful job.

This forced them to work overtime and endanger their own wellbeing to help others.

Police officers put their lives on the line every day, dealing with life-threatening situations, such as armed robberies and making arrests of dangerous criminals.

This, of course, causes a large amount of stress and other health problems.

The most stressful job is perhaps that of military personnel.

As you can imagine, being away from home, often for months at a time in war zones, can be extremely traumatic.

The fear of injuries and casualties can cause great anxiety, often resulting in post-traumatic stress disorder and mental health issues.

As you can see, most of these stressful jobs are also rewarding ones.
