The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 is scheduled to start on August 12, 2022. Below are more details about the tournament's format, teams, schedule, and livestream channels.
MPL PH Season 10 Overview
The MPL PH Season 10 is a major tournament of the mobile MOBA game, consisting of two stages: the regular season and the playoffs. Eight of the best ML teams in the country will be competing for the MPL PH S10 championship title and the lion's share of the USD 150,000 (around PHP 8 million) prize pool.
The regular season will run from August 12 until October 2, 2022. The tournament will be played in a double round-robin best-of-three format, with the top six teams advancing to the playoffs. The playoffs stage will be held from October 20 to 23 in a best-of-five format.
For the third consecutive season, the league has adopted a franchise-based system.
MPL PH Season 10 Game Format
Here's the game format for the tenth season of MPL PH.
Regular Season (August 12 to October 2, 2022)
- All matches will be played in a double round-robin best-of-three format.
- A team will earn 3 points for winning 2-0 matches; 2 points for winning 2-1; 1 point for losing 1-2; and zero points for losing 0-2.
- The top 6 squads will advance to the playoffs.
Playoffs (October 20 to 23, 2022)
- The playoffs will feature the same rules as Season 9, which is hybrid elimination with some tweaks.
- In the first two matches of Round 1, the 1st seed will decide the placement of teams ranked 3rd and 4th, while the 3rd seed will choose the placement of teams ranked 5th and 6th.
- The 1st and 2nd seeded teams will automatically secure slots in Round 2.
- All matches, except Grand Finals, will be played in a best-of-five series.
- Grand Finals will feature a best-of-seven series.
