LifeAfter 'Sea of Zombie' update launches August 12, 2022
NetEase Games' open-world survival game LifeAfter is launching its annual expansion update, "Sea of Zombie," on August 12, 2022. The expansion would be an innovative combination of zombie and sea as well as a major breakthrough in the imagination for doomsday survival. Check out the highlights of the latest update below.
New Content: Five Seas to Explore
The LifeAfter: Sea of Zombie expansion update combines "zombie" and "sea," two survival game elements, and challenges players' preconceived notions of the doomsday survival genre. In the upcoming version, the doomsday world's borders expand once more. To find a new way out, the players set sail in search of the "Pureland" claimed by Scientia, ushering in a new era of sea survival.
However, as a result of the infection, the doomsday seas are treacherous. The five distinct seas are revealing themselves to the Survivors:
Crystalthorn Sea
Crystals that have been infected cover the Crystalthorn Sea. The ice-blue crystals are as beautiful as jewels, but they conceal grave dangers.
Labyrinth Sea
The Labyrinth Sea is perpetually shrouded in fog. Compasses are ineffective here. Those who enter without adequate preparation will be lost forever.
Rainbow Sea
The Rainbow Sea is covered in fluorescent seaweed, which has a curative effect on crystal infection and thus attracts a large number of Infected.
Eroded Reef Sea
Eroded Reef Sea is an area with mature, exploding crystals and widespread fire. A prolonged stay takes a toll on the body and induces hallucinations.
Whirlpool Sea
Whirlpool Sea is filled with whirlpools. Those who are caught in them may face death or an unknown encounter.
Updated Physics Engine for Ultrarealistic Water Effects
The developer has upgraded the engine to bring the best graphics and ultrarealistic water surface effects without further taxing the player's device in order to present the best visual effects and provide a quality exploration experience.
Storms, aurora, rainbows, tornadoes, whales, shoals, and submerged artifacts. Unpredictable marine weather and a beautiful and mysterious underwater world await Survivors upon login.
Rich Rewards
As precursors to the August 12 release of the new version, events both inside and outside the game are beginning. A plethora of rewards such as rare in-game materials, limited title, and an iPad mini await players.

LifeAfter: Sea of Zombie Pre-Registration Event
Pre-registration is now available for the LifeAfter: Sea of Zombie version. As the number of pre-registrations increases, rewards for the entire server will be unlocked. In addition to in-game items such as Formula Shards and Skill Points, when pre-registration reaches 150,000, three randomly selected players will receive an iPad mini (256GB) and two RedMagic 6s Pro cameras.

Myth of Mermaid
On August 6, 2022, new quests will become available, compelling players to investigate the Myth of Mermaid rumored by sailors. The songs of mermaids are enchanting, but what lurks behind their beautiful exteriors? Completing the quests in any of the four days between August 6 and August 11 will earn you a special pointer that will yield additional rewards on August 12.
