Some Mistakes We Do After Meals

Is it enough to eat healthy diet to stay healthy? Your pre meal and post meal activities can have a huge impact on your body. Nowadays, most of the people eat nutritious food after eating. Some have a habit of drinking lots of water or heading straight to bed. These habits can do more harm than good as it disrupts the digestion.

There are certain things we should mindfully avoid immediately after meals first stop consuming fruits. Yes, foods are definitely nutritious, but they  should not be consumed immediately after food fruits. Get digested very fast very quickly, so if you eat them after meals they ferment and then they call lots of gases.

In addition, the higher sugar level can make the digestion difficult. Instead, eat fruits as a snack in between two meals during day. Preferably fruits should be taken 2 hours before or after your meals.

Second point, Stay away from Tea indigestion can be caused by drinking tea immediately after meals. Here we are talking about regular milk tea chai. Tea leaves have a high acidity level. If your meal has some protein, then these acids will stiffen the protein and so it would be tough to digest. You can have a cup of tea after an hour or preferably two hours

Third point, do not gulp water. We have seen many people gulping down lots of water immediately after meals or they go on drinking water while eating food too. It is very clear that when you drink water along with your food  all the digestive juices which are there in our stomach, even hydrochloric acid, they get diluted. These acids and fluids are very important for the digestion because they break down the food particles and convert them into energy. 

Hence drink water half an hour before or one and a half hour to 2 hours after your food. If you have to take some water immediately after meal, say somebody has to take medicine or just to wash the mouth. Then immediately after meal you should take only warm water

Fourth point, do not rush to take a bath. Digestion require transfer of energy and blood flow to the stomach. Bathing right after eating, lower the body temperature and slows down the digestion process. This occurs because the blood is diverted towards the layer of the skin which is enduring the cold water impact. To avoid indigestion bath before  meal or take bath 1 hour after your meals. 

Fifth points, Hold back your sleep. Sleeping immediately after your meal or just sitting immediately after your meal will slow down your digestive process and this will cost bloating discomfort and feeling of fullness when you wake up from your sleep. Instead, wait for at least 2 hours after you have your dinner immediately. Even after your lunch, you should be strolling at least 100 steps around. At least sit for some time, lie down, have a nap, but don't sleep during day. 

However, after food when you will lie down for afternoon little nap or siesta. You should lie down on the left side so that your right functions better and it helps to improve your digestion. The structure of our body is such that our stomach is on the left side. Gravity force inhibits the digestive fluid from going up and out of the system, especially when we sleep on the left side.

The fluid helps digestion, reducing the risk of heart burns. It also facilitates the moment of dietary waste from the large intestine towards the descending colon. So if you want to gain the benefit of the healthy meal ate who an end to the wrong habits right away. Instead, you can adopt certain healthy practice that will not just help in a better digestion, but also keep your mind healthy. 

These practices are first, wear some comfortable clothes so that your abdomen is not so tight. Tight abdomen will always cause acid reflux in case you have an outside. Then when you come back immediately wear some loose clothes and help your body to digest better. And also this comfortable clothing will ensure your good night's sleep.
