Everyone is living a stressful life, whether the stress in hospitals, in offices, or in any work, our mental and physical well-being depends on how we control our stress. We can't sustain it for a long time, need to be managed before it converts into a chronic disease. But in the hospitals during the lockdown, it was a different kind of situation faced by the health workers, and it will be remembered forever.


In hospitals, for health care workers, there was not only the fear of treatment of COVID patients but also the fear of how to take self-care. While the whole world was at home, they were on the job and faced different levels of situations.

They were like the warrior, as the disaster management team on a mission for saving the lives of the people, along with the precaution of basic self-care kit, eating properly, adequate sleep, and rest, reminding themselves that they are doing their best, to take care of the patients.

The work of the health care workers has been appreciated by the whole world, and the situation was the same everywhere. The time was when we were at home, during the lockdown and we didn’t want to come in contact with COVID to save ourselves, and we were afraid of going out, but at the same time doctors, nurses, and all the health workers were on duty on that critical situation to save or lives.

How they would have controlled the stress during that situation, we were worried that COVID was there on the road like an enemy we have no such arms to fight with corona. But health workers were at the front at war and fighting with COVID. Even if they could not come home for weeks or fortnights, how they would have handled the situation and controlled their stress. The world saluted them for their commendable work.

All the health care professionals have faced many problems, they have learned how to manage stress in hospitals during the lockdown. Health workers played an important role and handled unexpected situations. Every patient was important to them, and every day there was a fear of an increasing number of patients.

They have faced that situation when all the people were safe in their homes and health workers were on duty at war, serving the nation. How they have managed and what they have learned from lockdown and COVID. That experience was the best way of controlling stress in hospitals.

Seek the help of a mental health professional

·        There would have many problems with them which is called clinical depression, loss of energy, and demotivation are the main causes, they can’t stop worrying too little sleep and too much sleep, sometimes they may feel like not able to manage, hopeless, etc. In that situations, they would have required the help of mental health professionals to continue working in COVID as a warrior.


 

·       Their mind started working healthily and started feeling stress-free from all the worries, tension, and sadness. They were like, working under the mission to complete the task of ‘saving the lives of the maximum people’. It was the most important and responsible work for the country to fight with the corona.

 

·       And all the doctors wanted to win the fight as a warrior, even it was risky for them, even some of them were infected with COVID, and other doctors may have been demoralized and it happened too, many doctors lost their lives in that war, (like many soldiers lost their lives in war), but it was not stopped they fought continuously as war must go on. And finally, they win the war, fighting with corona.  

Conclusion

Stress is everywhere in every work, whether it is medical, or office work we need to take care of our health. How to manage stress in hospitals, we need to take precautions and special care at every stage. It can be managed by relaxation which relaxes our brain and reduces symptoms of depression.

For health care workers, there was not only the fear of treatment of patients but also the fear of self-care. When the whole world was at home, health workers were on the job and faced different levels of situations. They worked like a warrior, as the disaster management team on a mission for saving the lives of the people, and they did their best, for taken care of the patients.

You need to share your problems of anxiety or depression with the other staff of the hospital or discuss them with the senior doctors, or psychologists to solve your problems. You need healthy food and a proper diet for controlling stress. 

Don’t drink too much coffee or tea, take green tea in steed of that, large caffeine courses blood pressure, meditation, and exercises are the best for reducing stress but in the hospital, it's not possible but walking in the hospital compound is necessary to reduce stress.
